Thanksgiving Feast

Bronx had a Thanksgiving Feast at school and he and his class made us stew for lunch including corn bread and pumpkin pie. They made pasta necklaces and teepes that told a story. He sang a thanksgiving song and was thankful for his house and kitchen.

St. George

We went to "The Crack" in St. George. The crack is a family tradition that I grew up with. It is a huge crack in the middle of a rock that is really narrow and you start from the top and work your way down. We always judged each other on fitness while going through the crack. If you made it you were good until next year. If you didn't you needed to spend a little more time at the gym. Brooke, Me, Bronx and Mitch made it through. Phil and Jared unfortunately will have to try again next year. Bronx thought we was pretty big going through it. JoAnn and Bentley stood from up top taking pictures and cheering us on. This is a must if you visit St. George.

We also visited Judd's candy store while we were there. This candy store used to by a penny candy store. Candy prices have gone up since I was a little girl but they still have tons of fun candies and old time candies that you can purchase. I gave each kid a basket to pick whatever candy they wanted and they walked away with only a few pieces of candy. I was willing to throw in handfuls of candy but I guess they weren't in the mood. Jared and I tried our first VOSE water. It really is cleaner tasting then regular tap water, but I wouldn't pay the price to drink it all the time. After Judd's store we went across the street to a park where they had a carousel that the kids rode on and they had this really cute water display that the kids got all wet in. Thanks Mitch for playing for Dixie so we can enjoy all that St. George has to offer.

Halloween 2011

Bentley is a lady bug and Bronx is Swoop (Mascot for the University of Utah). Next year we asked Bentley what she wanted to be and she said she wants to be Swoop like her brother. We made it about a block and a half and got more candy then Bronx and Bentley will eat. It was a fun Halloween.

Bronx had another Halloween parade at preschool. They got is a line and paraded down the street waving to passing cars and parents. There were some cute costumes there.

Soccer Season 2011

Bronx did a good job for his first year playing soccer. The two Manning boys are known as the ball hogs on the team. I think that we had more fun watching Bronx play then he had playing.

Bronx's First Soccer Game

There team name is The Blue Blazing Flames. The coaches son came up with the name. Bronx got the #2 which is a pretty good omen because that was Jared and Mitch's number. Bronx was so funny. He was running hard and played aggressive. He scored 2 goals even though they don't keep score. This is Bronx's first soccer game and first sport team experience. It was really fun to watch. They are so cute. It is like watching a swarm circle around the soccer ball. Jared and I are very proud of our little guy...

Bountiful Parade

Can't believe we are here again. Time sure does fly. The parade was good this year. We have discovered that the closer you sit to the beginning of the parade route the more free stuff you get. So thank you to the person who stole Ruths chair in front of the bank forcing us to find another spot. It was well worth it.

Lava Hot Springs

Went to Lava with the Smith Family. Jared met us up there and the kids surprise were two airsoft guns. Not sure whether they were gifts for the kids or for Jared. We had a blast with good food and good company. I tried my first Braut and I am glad that I did. Bronx picked one up and just started chowing down. He didn't tell the difference. Micah was resting under the tree and later found two little buddies getting closer and closer. Could have done without the wind and the mosquitos... I discovered on this trip that Bronx is allergic to these dang things.

The mosquito bite started on his forehead and by the next morning he couldn't open his eye. He was a trooper. Now we are a little more cautious about when we go inside at night and we bath in repellent.

Cooper's Birthday Party

We went to Cooper's 9th Birthday party and the kids loved the slip and slide. They spent more time on their bums then they did on their feet. Isn't Bronx such a cheeser...

Layton Parade 2011

We always enjoy ourselves when we go to the Layton Parade. This year we let the kids swim at Layton's Surf and Swim. We had a picnic in the park after the parade. We watched the fireworks which were beautiful. Great way to spend the 4th of July. Needless to stay the kids slept well that night.
